Wildlife Groundswell’s Crowdfunder Reaches Its Full Target

We’re delighted to share that our crowdfunder has reached its full target!
Thanks to your incredible support, Wildlife Groundswell CIC can continue restoring and protecting nature across the Lizard Peninsula.

As a volunteer-led conservation group, Wildlife Groundswell brings people together to boost biodiversity, capture carbon, and strengthen the connection between nature and community. From river health surveys and bat monitoring to installing swift boxes and hosting educational events, every donation helps make local action for wildlife possible.

What Your Support Will Achieve

Protecting Our Rivers

Your donations will help expand our water quality monitoring through the Westcountry Rivers Trust’s Citizen Science Investigation, funding new Riverfly Partnership kits, volunteer training, and instructor sessions. Together, we’re keeping our rivers clean and healthy for wildlife and people.

Creating Homes for Swifts

With your help, we can install more swift nest boxes across the Lizard Peninsula and run community workshops to raise awareness. Over 150 boxes are already in place—thanks to you, even more swifts will return to our skies.

Monitoring and Protecting Bats

Funding from the crowdfunder supports new bat detectors, roost monitoring evenings, and collaboration with the Cornwall Bat Group, helping us understand and protect local bat populations.

Inspiring and Educating the Community

Wildlife Groundswell’s annual conferences and local workshops will continue to bring people together to learn and take action for nature. Your support covers speaker costs, hall hire, and presentation equipment so we can keep sharing knowledge and inspiration.
