Meadows Day at Kestle Barton

On Saturday 5th July Kestle Barton and Kestle Wartha Farm near Helford hosted this year's Wildlife Groundswell Meadows Day as part of the national Meadows Day celebrations.  More than fifty people, aged two to seventy upwards, enjoyed a range of activities on a wildflower meadow theme.  On offer was a plant identification walk through the meadows, swift kite and butterfly mask making, music, meditation and a demonstration on how to make a swift box and house martin nest cup.

Our thanks to the team at Kestle Barton, Alan and Judy Scrimshaw and to the Wildflower Collective for their support in making this event such a success.
