Another great evening with fellow bat enthusiasts!

The Wildlife Groundswell Bat Group continues to go from strength to strength, with new people joining us for a wonderful evening bat session at Poltesco in August 2025.With over 12 people attending, we split into groups to survey for bats at four different locations around the area.

The highlight was witnessing over 20 individuals of common pipistrelle emerging from The Old Serpentine Works. Other species we recorded in the Poltesco area included soprano pipistrelle, noctule and lesser horseshoe bat, all foraging along the wooded lanes.
