Godolphin Cross

On a warm Sunday in June the Any SIze Landowners' group met at Sarah Lane's beautiful two acre piece of land near Godolphin Cross.  Sarah took us on a tour of her woods, glades, vegetable garden and a wonderful variety of wildlife-friendly habitats.  As we walked, Sarah explained her planting and growing philosophy, and the challenges she faces due to poor soil and invasive plants.  Numerous discussions ensued, and we all benefitted as Sarah and others shared their great wealth of experience and advice.

We then enjoyed Sarah's delicious vegetable soup and bread, with the addition of salad, home-made cakes and fruit brought by others.
